ADB TA program assisted Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) in organizing a bidders meet in Delhi for tender issued for aggregated capacity for 200MW rooftop solar projects under Soura Phase I.
The KSEB has launched ‘SOURA’ project under ‘Urja Kerala Mission’, Government of Kerala with an objective of adding 1,000 MWp solar power plants within the next two years. The KSEB has issued tender document for empanelment of EPC contractors and RESCOs for implementation of RSPV systems of various capacities aggregating to 200 MWp at identified locations in Kerala during FY 2019-20 under Phase-I of Soura Scheme.
Large Number of EPCs and RESCOs participated in the bidders meet. Presentations were done to highlight key features of Soura scheme, steps taken by KSEBL to develop unique utility driven business models for implementing rooftop solar and key features of the tender document. Further, EPCs and RESCOs discussed queries and seek clarifications from KSEBL officials on the tender.
